So I’m running an icon stage 2, 2.5 in lift kit. I’m looking to gain a little bit more height and a bit of a wider stance. Would upper and lower control arms help me with that?

    best,
    Ray

Upper control arms would not yield any ride height change. It would contribute to your performance with less flex / bind up that can be found in the factory arm. Also, if you do wish to lift your truck to say 3", it would be necessary to run an aftermarket control arm to correct the geometry and aid in achieving better alignment results to dial in your truck.

Height(front) would come from the coilover, with adding more preload to your CO or replacing it with a 14" length coil spring (still in conjunction with preload).

A wider stance on a factory length suspension setup would come from spacers, or a different wheel setup between a combination of width/offset specifications. If you are a 2wd tacoma, you can purchase an aftermarket lift spindle which does slightly widen the front track width.

You can net a wider stance with upper/lower arms, but you would be stepping into the long travel side of suspension setups.

So, to summarize. The UCA will not net any ride height chance. Would it not add a little bit of a wider stance? Lastly, if I wanted to get more height from the front icon coil overs, I would have to add a larger spring? I’m guessing to lift the back id have to add a block or something?

Lets give the scenario, if you are looking to increase your ride height to a full 3" from 2" over stock height, that is all from your coilover preload/coil spring selection. Adding more preload is generally what everyone does. People have switched the coil spring itself as well from the 13" length to a 14" length with the Icon coilover.

It would not net you a wider stance.

Correct, the rear would be dependent on either a block, add a leaf / add a leaf-mini pack, or full leaf pack replacement.

I also do have Icon and SPC upper control arms in stock if you wish to purchase one. :)
