I had a 74 HiLux long bed, had the second stage of the body cancer this one has. Bought it for $650.00 with 65k on the clock. Poor thing lived in Anchorage most of it’s life and that killed it. I made a couple trips up the AlCan, and put close to 65k on it myself when the frame rotted in half right ahead of the cab. It was a great rig, never stranded me, gotta love breaker point ignition. I still have the bed, and rear frame, might make a trailer out of it.

I am biased but I think the 80’s Toyotas look the best with an ARB. Maybe someday I can afford one for my 85...

Very nice, I had one back in the early 90s, nice truck, love the long beds! I had to sell it to go to HVAC school for expenses and a van to live in while at school. I regretted it but it was a worthy sacrifice, kinda made room for the 85 in my future.

Nice HiLux, longbed, mine was robins egg blue, but what a great rig.

Old school TOYOTA Friends, I ask for your advice on replacing my 82 pickup springs and shocks. I want to keep look and ride original. Mine aren’t terrible, but ready to invest in the little truck. Anyone do this in recent years and could make suggestions? ThanksAF4C0882-D623-4A43-BAA3-6BDC5E2B0190.jpg

Heres my current project im starting to call it red redemption. Bought it for 700 bucks and it sure was a pile of crap but its coming along.

Edit: more updated pic on the bottom, lights added and running boards removed.

I just replaced my shocks with KYB gas adjust for stock ride height on my 85. They ride great. Didn't replace the springs. Good luck on your search.

Thanks Spintly for your input. Good to know of the KYB gas option. I would not have consider, but will look into it.
