    Hello all! Been lurking here for a few years, since I bought my Tacoma. I have 2012 4 banger, 5 speed, no bells or whistles. You’ve all been incredibly helpful in the few repairs I’ve had to do. I’m ready to start upgrading the suspension now! I’m going OME Dakar HD’s with B110’s, a 4 inch brake line extension, and a Ubolt flip kit in the back. Up front will be Bilstein 6112’s. I’m just going to buy the whole strut/shock assembly. The truck is from Vermont, so it’s time to start replacing all the oem stuff. I’m in the Hampton Road, VA area currently. Any suggestions are more than welcome! All of my tools are in Texas where my fiancé is, and hopefully I’ll be in the next year or so, but I do have basic hand tools.

    Welcome from Hampton Roads!

    Since you're in the Air Force, you should be able to use the Navy auto hobby shops. There are at least three in the area: NOB Norfolk (the main base), NAS Oceana, and the Scott Center Annex over in P-town. They have lifts & tools, so you should be able to handle most maintenance jobs.
