Guilt schmuilt. Think of it as supporting local businesses..just don't get anything from Bridgewater Farm Supply the owner there is a complete jerk.

    there’s a whole thread for investing. It’s a hoot.

I unfortunately have set the line in the sand, until my truck is paid off I’m not playing with stocks. 401k and IRA that’s it.

I only did $1000. Figured that's just enough to be worth bothering with, but not so much that I'll miss it. I'll just let it sit and see what happens. I don't have a 401k (state pension instead), but my Roth IRA isn't looking great right now--good thing I don't need it for at least 31 years.

I have a little over a year more of payments on this truck if I keep at it the way I have been.

coming from RI, there’s a lot of places that are good businesses and employ wonderful people but are owned by scum bags and I don’t want to give them business.

yeah I’m a long way from retirement, hopefully about two years from truck payoff. Although I am currently looking at how to make early retirement happen.

Realistically, I will be 60-62. Can't collect the pension until I hit 60 and can't withdraw tax free from a Roth until 59-1/2. At 62, I hit the maximum possible percent for pension earnings.

yeah I can’t withdraw Roth earnings or 401k stuff. I’m starting very early level research into it.

realistically I wouldn’t straight up retire. I’d take some time off then do something part time or whatever. But that’s way in the future.

Got it done. Finished passenger front while working under the camper awning. Lack of a garage sucks but I improvised lol. Thanks for the input peeps. Ended up talking to @mach1man001 as well. Sounds amazing. Vast improvement over stock. Did dynamat as well. Nothing crazy but definitely in the area of the speakers

Heating fuel is 2.19 per gallon now down $.10 from four days ago. Usually I order extra and get a credit . Like 20 gallons more. Should give me a good sized credit

Installed focal speakers front and rear. Fronts are components. Got them based on the recommendation by @mach1man001

I did before but about 8 years ago the guy loading my truck damaged the bed. Shit happens but the owner basically told me to piss off and "it's only a truck what do you think happens?" FUDB..sued him and won

It makes such a difference. Wait another month or two until it warms up and you have a day off. Then rip those seats and carpet out and get at it. Even just the CDL tiles in there makes a big difference, and foam or mlv layers is just cake on top.

Not sure about 2nd gens, but my 3rd gen had a decent amount of factory sound dampening, but still needed a lot. My 1st gen has none, its literally just the sheet metal and carpet. If the 2nd gen is somewhere in between, it will be well worth it. Even without music the added benefits on rider comfort and ability to have a normal volume convo is great.

Give those focals all the help they can get, you won't regret it!! Although doing the doors is one of the biggest spots and you already got that.

this help thermal insulation too? I’m planning to basically rip out the back seat and set up a dog crate behind the passenger seat in the 60%. Want a crate I can easily pull out and strap in the bed the next time she rolls in horse shit.

anyone else watching this tiger thing???
