What does the Univ of CA at Los Angeles have to do with it? :D

Do you mean UCA's and CV's?

The consensus is that unless you're running more than 2.5 or 3" lift, you don't "have" to run UCAs. UCAs primary job is to correct for wheel alignment issues. So if you lift it and can't get it aligned, then UCAs are likely needed. Otherwise they are generally just window dressing. I have UCAs because I also have extended travel coilovers, and the uniballs have more articulation. I probably still didn't "need" them, but I didn't wait to find out for sure.

As for CVs, again, 2.5-3" lift seems to be the max. You can help this my using a diff drop kit that angles the front diff downward slightly. I am of the opinion that if you're over 2" you should run one, just to help keep the CV angles in check. They of course don't return the CV angles to stock, but it helps, and diff drop kits are cheap.

Will change slightly as I've got King 2.5 to swap out up front with Icon UCA's, not to mention needing a rear shock relocate.
