Changing front shocks and LCA won't swing down more than 2 inches. Everything loosened. Sway bar out. What am I missing???

The alignment bolts are seized. Very common for these trucks. The solution is to cut them with a sawzall, and put new arms and hardware in there. Welcome to tw, sorry this happened.

Don’t try and crank on them to free them up either. You’ll just flatten those little alignment tabs. Speaking from personal experience.

If doing coil over shocks, don't disconnect the lca bolt.
Disconnect the uca, both sway bar links from sway bar to swing out of the way. Outer tie rod and wheel speed sensor harness from its retainer clips for slack. Undo the lower shock bolt and than the 3 top shock bolts. Pull the shock out from the bottom.

Hey, was adding OME front and rear shocks with a add a leaf in the rear. Was able to get the front completed. Front LCA bolts weren't loosened enough nor lubed up enough. Got them freed up without having too much difficulty compared to my earlier thread. Onto the rear tomorrow. Front looks awesome with that added little bit of extra height.

Got it done. Needed a bit more lube and they came free with just a breaker bar. Front is done.

Well shit there you go. You must've gotten lucky and caught them right in time. I recommend taking them out, cleaning off the rust with a brush and putting some anti seize or grease in there to help keep them fresh.

LOL. Just takes one snapped rusty bolt to turn a two-hour job into an all day job.
