Well not actually my house! But I have a damn critter in my truck! I just noticed today I had a super tiny little mouse poop in my cup holder and the more I searched I found like 10 more. Come to find out the little bastard was after a package of top ramen I was saving for the zombie apocalypse! I also found a piss patch (many wet spots) under my water proof dog Rear seat cover where I assume the 4 legged virus was living. No signs of nesting as I checked every possible crack, so I guess that’s a good sign. My truck is always clean and free of clutter so hopefully the mouse moves on or has already moved, all I could do was vacuum, detail the interior and bomb my taco with a cup full of mint oil to hopefully scare off the little bastard. What other tips do you guys have to keeping rodents out? No way in hell can this happen again!

Edit: as far as keeping them out, my boss has had success using one of those high frequency noise repellent things under his hood

I have ants living in mine somehow.

Had a pizza box in the truck and a few hours later it was swarming with ants.

Moth balls will keep them out!

I need to do my tool boxes about once a year .

I had a friend keep a cat and litter box in his truck that was a bit much but it did work.

If you are seeing poop. They have been in there awhile.
They stay hidden and establish and then explore.
Check your heater box and cabin filter for evidence.
Never leave food of any kind in a vehicle..

I deal with this all the time.

    They love tight places like
    Under carpeting and headliners.

I can tell the min I get in a vehicle if they have had a problem for a while.
    It’s a smell you can’t mistake..

You need to really look and partial disassemble and look around.

If you don’t catch it now, it gets to this real fast.

Them suckers love them insulated wires. And when they get to biting those it gets pretty pricey. I hope you get the sucker soon

There is a thread somewhere here about wires chewed and a park ranger or warden or something posted what they sprayed their trucks with and said they had no problems . Maybe someone can find it .

That is some extreme redneck stuff right here. You can't be serious...? The cat urine smell alone would keep mice out I bet. But a cat living in a truck cab?! Lol

The benefit of the 2.7L is a smaller sized cat can actually climb into the engine bay and have plenty of room to lounge on the engine cover etc.
It's like having a Phalanx CIWS in your living room.

Yup. Some sort of snake oil my RV dealer just tried to sell me that they spray on the frame and at entry points etc. It may help in keeping them away but not for their price...:bananadead: maybe OP can apply himself in future.
I cant remember the name of it but there is an application for it...

I had this problem in a tundra and a Corolla as well.
Look for a product called fresh cab. Here I get it from tractor supply its a box of 4 pouches that have balsum fir/cedar oil and they hate it.
I keep one in the glove box and once a month pop open the hood and spray all the wireing down with peppermint essential oil and they hate it.
Worst thing truck smells like a minty Christmas tree.
