Its more than just taking them away. Its creating a fed 7 day waiting period , 30 percent tax on a gun which limits only one per month ,50 percent tax on ammo, Gun store can be liable for the death of a victim and need to be constructed by cement barriers. Its a bunch of crap. Its on the verge of wanting to create a civil war.

Damn, and here I was on the cusp of the next big idea in case trimming. I freaking scored big time today. I happened to ask my uncle if he's still reloading anymore, knowing that he probably wasn't given the state of affairs he's been dealing with for a while now. He gave me the expected answer so I asked if he had any equipment he wanted to unload, specifically his case trimmer, which I was pretty sure was a Lyman. He said sure, so we trucked on over to where he's storing it and couldn't find a Lyman case trimmer. Instead, low and behold there was an RCBS TrimPro Power case trimmer sitting there. The motor worked but it was missing the release/shut-off handle--something I can easily fabricate, as it's just a straight .125"x.5" piece of flat bar. So I scored a several hundred dollar case trimmer for the cost of the gas to pick it up.

But then I started looking at things while I was taking it apart to clean it and see what I would have to do to replace the handle. I started eyeballing my old manual RCBS TrimPro. Now, I've always felt that when it comes to case trimmers the manufacturers are all fallowing the herd for the most part and getting it wrong (except for one that i found out about recently that corrects the part I think everbody is getting wrong, but does so with a machine they are selling for $350-$700, depending on if you want to run it with a drill or their dedicated motor). This thing that I feel everyone is getting wrong is that I think whatever part is rotating be it the case or the cutter head, should not be the part that's feeding the case mouth into the cutter. In other words, if the cutter is rotating (like it is in that $700 machine) then the case should be moving into the cutter. I believe this would make for a more accurate cut. The $700 machine operates in this exact manner and the only really thing I think they could have done better is that instead of a stop screw to adjust the trim length, they should have added some sort of micrometer fine adjustment.

So I'm looking at these two TrimPro case trimmers and I had wondered in the past if I removed the shell holder from the one side and added a second cutting shaft mount if they would line up. Turns out they do. That being the case, I could back the motor driven shaft all the way back until the cutter head was against the mount and just have a rotating cutter head with no in or out movement. The problem then becomes, how to hold the case on the shaft on the other side. Well, Sinclair Int'l makes a case holder that chucks into your drill for case neck turning. It also works really well for chamfering and deburring as well as inside neck cleaning. It's not perfect with cases having small primer pockets because they made it to fit large primer cases as well and there's not really enough of a lip for a small primer case to really sit square on. There's also the little issue of it having a .25" hex drive shank while the case trimmer shaft has 3/8s threads. So I ordered a 2nd drive section from Sinclair for $13. My uncle was telling me about a gun smith that did some machine work for him, so I'm planning on talking to the guy to see if he can turn down the large primer lip of the driver and possibly press the shank into another piece of steel than can then be threaded to fit into the trimmer shaft. At this point all I have to do is come up with a handle for the other end and I will have what I feel is the right way to trim cases...I also ordered Hornady's 3 way cutter so I can trim, chamfer, and deburr all in one operation (which the $700 machine also does, but it will only do one neck diameter. To change from say a .223 to a 6.5 Creedmoor, you'd have to buy an additional cutter head for $70. Same with RCBS's 3 way cutter. With the Hornady, you only have to change the pilot like a normal cutter, although I'm sure there's some adjustment to be done with the blades. Still, isn't only $40 unlike the $60-$70 like the others so you could get as many as you have calibers to load for, just change the head like the others require, and still come out cheaper.

Sure, it won't be as fast and easy as that $700 machine, but at least it will have some form of micrometer adjustments.

    • The National Guard in Rhode Island is assisting police with monitoring anyone who has traveled from New York into the state to enforce self-isolation orders.

    • Members of the National Guard conducted house-to-house searches with police on Saturday to seek out those who have recently been in New York, which has emerged as the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the US.

    • State police in Rhode Island have also begun pulling over cars with New York registrations traveling on I-95 and advising them to self-quarantine in accordance with the order.

    • The measures have triggered criticism from civil-liberties advocates, who have accused Rhode Island officials of violating people's Fourth Amendment rights.

    • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.
The National Guard assisted Rhode Island police with house-to-house searches on Saturday to seek out anyone who has traveled from New York and force them to self-isolate.

Senior Master Sgt. Janeen Miller, the police department's public affairs superintendent, told Insider that authorities were acting on behalf of the state's health department.

Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo issued an executive order on Thursday establishing interstate stops and stationing officers at bus stops and train stations to identify New Yorkers and order them to self-quarantine.

"The Rhode Island National Guard has already been collecting contact information from passengers of mass transit, such as bus, trains, and planes," SMSgt Miller said.

She continued: "Basic contact information is collected and handed over exclusively to the RI Department of Health, where it is used to conduct health and wellness follow-ups and contact tracing should someone fall ill. This contact information is not handed over to any other agencies and is not kept by the Rhode Island National Guard."

The order applies to anyone who has been in New York within the past two weeks and will remain in place until at least April 25. The order does not apply to public health, public safety or health care workers.

On the same day authorities were conducting the searches, Raimondo announced she was signing a stay-at-home executive order for the state after the first two coronavirus deaths in the state were announced.

New York has emerged as the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the US with nearly 30,000 cases.

The National Guard was deployed to all 50 states in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. The Trump administration stressed that the deployment did not equate to martial law, and that the troops served as an additional resource that governors could assign depending on the needs of communities.

A Rhode Island trooper previously confirmed to Insider's Haven Orecchio-Egresitz that state police in Rhode Island began pulling over cars with New York registrations traveling on I-95 and advising them to self-quarantine in accordance with the order.

"We're stopping vehicles with NY registrations in an effort to get ahead of the medical pandemic going on, due to New York's high rate of the COVID-19 cases," on Friday. "They're being advised that if they're residing in Rhode Island, like going to a beach house or something like that, they are required to do a 14-day quarantine. If they're just passing through the state, they're OK."

Though the policy is apparently designed to enforce isolation measures recommended by top public health officials, the local chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union objected to the stopping of drivers based on a license plate and the further collection of their data.

"While the Governor may have the power to suspend some state laws and regulations to address this medical emergency, she cannot suspend the Constitution," Rhode Island ACLU Executive Director Steven Brown said in a statement on the executive order. "Under the Fourth Amendment, having a New York state license plate simply does not, and cannot, constitute 'probable cause' to allow police to stop a car and interrogate the driver, no matter how laudable the goal of the stop may be."

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo also criticized the policy, telling CNN on Saturday he would sue Rhode Island if officials there don't roll back the new measures.

So now the info is coming out

They should be doing this. People from the lockdown states need to stay put and stop trying to go elsewhere. They are causing the spread of this stuff because they can’t follow simple instructions.
