You do exist! Haha I’ve been trying to find out more about these tires, but I haven’t found much on TW about them. What size are you running? Wheels? Lift?

Stock TRD OR DCSB V6 6MT, running stock rims. No lift, no added weight. With the 255/85R16, I get no rub in normal driving. The only time it rubs is on the mudflap at 3/4 lock, when hitting the brakes or hitting a bump/curve. I've heard removing the mudflaps fixes that issue, haven't tried it yet.

Has anyone had issues with the 255/85R16 as a spare on stock OR suspension with a rear diff skid plate? From videos it looks like this size comes quite close to the rear diff cover without a skid plate, but not sure if the relocation mod makes it work.

I don't have a diff skid plate, but the reolocation mod I did gives a fair amount of space, about an inch.

I can't say that it's the same specific individual tire; it is one of the five I have in rotation. I'm running Dick Cepek Extreme Country M/Ts in the 255/85R16 size; DC says they are 32.8" tall.

Not in the OR club, but I put 255/85/16s and an OME lift on my '19 SR5 this weekend. Hammered the spare tabs flat, and relocated the mount as shown earlier in this thread- hopefully that'll keep it from melting! Only 30ish miles on them so far, but it seems they aren't too different from the 265/75s I took off.

Sorry for the late reply but thank you for the pics! That gives me some confidence since I think mostly the skid plate covers the front and sides of the diff.

I can’t seem to find a skinny 35” option... I comfortably fit 285/75/16’s with my Kings, Icon AAL, and body mount chop. Anyone heard or seen these?

That’s exactly what I want, just don’t know anything about Kenda, but they look good and don’t seem overly aggressive for my daily driving. Thanks for the heads up, I will definitely be looking into these more.

They're not SUUUPER skinny like those swampers, but the coursers are advertised narrower than most 35's (somehow) and I love mine in a 255/85.

Yup, door OP it’s a trade off between how much he is willing to cut and how big an issue moving up to 17s.
