Being stuck at home under CA Gov. Newsome's "go to your room" order for this covid19 mess, I got bored. So yesterday, I removed the gear shifter nob and took off the rear plastic portion, then color coded it to Azure. It turned out really well and since I had nothing but time, I was able to let it dry properly before handling it for reinstallation this morning.

Just finished another round of updates yesterday that included the new roof rack. It balances the sliders really well and brought the whole truck together. Recently added the S2 Pro's as well and I'm working on a (what I think is a) sweet stealth install of the ARB compressor switch. Compressor was going to go in this weekend but I decided to order a proper 8g-0g crimping tool instead of winging it. Next weekend it is!

It's been a while since I posted updates on the rig. I wrapped the roof, installed the Victory 4x4 MOLLE panels, got the Victory bumpers fitted, added the CaliRaised switch panel and some additional switches, and got the Baja Design S8 installed. The winch should arrive in a few days.

Azure had a BIG change yesterday on 28MAR2020. I had a local shop install @HeadStrong Off-Road 's custom designed 3rd Gen specific 3 Leaf AALs. Also installed were Bilstein 5100 shocks on all four corners for a full 1.5" lift which were also purchased through @HeadStrong Off-Road . I took HS' advice and only went 1.5" to balance between lift and ride because their feedback on maxing out 2" was too stiff with OEM coils and rear springs. I'm glad I listened because the 2" would have negated the factory rake and instead, the factory rake is retained and re-enforced with HS's 3rd Gen AALs. On the advice of @erice , while the installer had the wheels off, I used the opportunity to plastidip them in order to get rid of the silver machine face which drove me nuts. I really like the new look and just like that, new wheels are no longer necessary ( saving a HUGE expense- $25 of dip vs $800+ ).

Photos of the AALs, shocks, and wheels!

About $1,000 with parts, taxes, and install all accounted for. I had help with the install through friends which helped to keep that cost down.

You must love driving your taco too. I'm closing in on 35k here in SoCal.

Re: tires, that was my plan too, but the opportunity presented itself so I jumped on it. I'll be watching for the holiday deals with Discount Tire in my neighborhood.

I have the progressive aal and after a year they sagged down a bit so I added the stock overload leaf and 3 degree shim. Now, it runs great with the 2inches lift

My truck is going in to get $7K worth of hail damage repaired next week. I have the RTT in the shed ready to go on when it gets back. Hopefully it is back in 3-4 weeks! They are replacing the hood so maybe I can even talk them into swapping out the stock OR hood for the fake hood scoop variety!

The Dobinsons 2" lift with heavy springs are working well with the RCI sliders, SOO bumper, winch & RTT. Looking forward to getting it dirty again this summer.

Any pictures pls post them up.

I took off the emblems and the box decals. I then added Pro style TRD Sport badges.
