Had been looking for a Tacoma replacement for a month plus, life is changing and I’m was not really using the Tacoma as I wanted. The daily round trip of almost 50 miles, MPG and comfort, heck..I’m 56 now, lol.

After looking at everything from Lexus to Subaru’s, I stumbled upon the new 2020 Camry TRD. I looked at a red one and was trying to purchase one of two different silver ones that sold within 48 hours. Went back and got a good deal on the red one a 0% financing. I’ll miss the Tacoma, but I’m really pleased the new vehicle is a Toyota, never thought I’d purchase a Camry, lol.

Have you seen the Avalon TRD? I like the Avalon. The Camry looks good, and I think it's this years Nascar pace car, at least it was at Daytona.

I did see (online) and read about the Avalon TRD, but at that point, I would have just gotten the Lexus. For 30K with a V6 and all of the little things that come with the Camry made it a winner for me. Plus the tinted windows, all weather floor mats and clear bra were in place.

I’ll ad a few small mods, powered sub, different center caps (maybe), 1/4” wheel spacers. I’ll try my best to leave the new tires in place : )

Very nice car! Though it's a shame it's not available with a manual transmission...

Also, I've gotten new Camrys as loaners before and one thing that drives me nuts about them is the "nanny state" stereo that locks out the ability to use one's iPod when the car is going over 5 MPH!

    :annoyed:

    They sound awesome.

I just don't get why they aren't XSE's, but I guess its just the cost of it they want to keep reasonable.

Toyota has really stepped up their game.

I thought why not get a Lexus at that price point. The Camry does look good.

Inserted a 1/4” rear spacers, was a bit too low in the rear. Removed the red pin-stripes on the lower spoilers, sides & rear valance.

considering removing rear valance also, love the car though.

I traded in my 2016 Taco for a 2020 Camry TRD too. I finally have electric seats!! I have one in "black". Black looks black 10 ft. away but open the door and catch the light off the edge of it and it is a super dark blue with metal flake.

Yeah, they really like their metal flake paint. My red one starts to look like orange metallic in the sun, it’s a bit much, but it’s so nice to drive.

I use 91/93 octane and alway apply sports mode. Still getting 30 mpg.

    PICS ?? !!!

I am surprised that I actually like it. I personally couldnt own one (wouldnt make it over the rise in my driveway, or through the dust in my other driveway, or be able to tow my trailer), but if I was looking for a car, I would give one a lot of consideration.
As for removal of the rear valance, I think it helps carry the look and looks odd without it.

New mod, rear lower valance removed, it was just a bit much. This is the least I’ve ever modded any vehicle, Toyota did a fair job from the factory, it drives very nicely. I feel a 4runner in my future, lol.
