Ported 12" Plans?

Has anybody constructed their own ported 12" sub box for the 2nd gen cc tacoma? I think $600 is way too pay for *********' box http://shop.*********.com/Subwoofer-Enclosure-Port-Tuned-12-DCT-TACO-PSUB12-1L.htm, was thinking about trying to construct my own box but was hoping to find plans first. Anybody do anything similar or am I alone on doing a box like this?

 

Are you wanting just a basic ported box?

 

Yeah pretty much the same build as the link I posted...ported box for a 12" behind the back seat of a dbl cab.

 

I am running 2 alpine 10" type R behind the back seats. Bought the box for 120 but it is sealed. Had a hard time getting my subs into the box but eventually did. Sounds super clean and defintly loud

 

sooo...that means nobody has done such a thing or what?

 

I have a 10" ported box in my double cab. I'm sure a 12" ported box for the right driver isn't out of the question...

I'm using a Dayton HO10 in a 0.67 cu. Ft. Ported box. It sounds really clean and digs really deep. It has enough volume for what I'm using it for. It can take up to 500watts in this configuration. I'm only feeding it 250 though and will upgrade to a 500 watt after I'm done with the build...

 

was wondering if you found anything out on a ported box. i built a box for 2 12" jlw1's and got it to fit with spacing the seat. sounds good but i like a ported box.

I just get my 2001 tacoma extended cab and i was driving a camaro nowbi just have the sistem and the space on the truck it's to short I have to put 2 kicker L5 12" and 750.1 kicker amp and one alpine amp for the rest of the car speakers also I have a episenter and a crosover and capacitor the problem is I don't want a lose alot space on the back part and I don't now how to do it but I gone a foot wen I make it I let you now also oboist some pics

Whether or not it can be built at all is dependant on your chosen speaker... most 12" speakers wont fit without seat mods. Next you have to design it within tolerances of .1" make the seat backs not foldable and remove the plastic backing. The port sizes and needed airspace is available on almost any sub... good luck with trying to get a 12" ported to fit. Thats why the ********* costs so much. You will have many failures before you get the thing to even fit.
