It's amazing all the accessories you can get for these builds.

This weekend was very productive, I was able to get alot done to the Tiny Taco. I finally got around to getting all the lights working and properly soldered, excluding the 3rd brake light. No more alligator clips needed. They're powered through the receiver, I'm going to try plugging them directly into a 3s lipo for more power.

That looks awesome. My lights are 9 to 16v so I'm also just using alligator clips until I figure another way. Lol

I plan on running a second battery for to add extra weight upfront. I'll run the lights directly off the battery with a power switch.

Yep. I was going to do the same but not sure where to put batteries yet. Those night pics are great. :hattip:

I have been messing with the suspension in my free time, trying to get it a bit softer. So I figured it was time for some flex pics. It has just over 5 inches of articulation in the front and 5.75 inches in the rear.

You got any more pics of the chassis. I'm in the works of doing the sameish build to the trx4 chassis. And cant figure out how to keep electronics or where to put them. And trying to figure out how to not have tire rub. Thinking about smaller tires. 20200315_152041.jpg

For mine, I had to trim all the wheel wells and floor trays so the body would fit. I 3D printed the LCG primary battery tray and rear diff locker servo mount. I also turn the ESC sideways and I moved the Receiver to the front battery tray. Im planning on moving it back to the flat part of the primary battery tray so I can run a 3S lipo for all the lights.

As far as tires, I'm using 3.95" RC4WD Dick Cepeks Mud County. RC4WD just released the BFG KM3 and I like the look alot more then the Cepeks so I may switch over.

Thank man. Gives me new hope to try this some more before I give up on mine. Do you have any links to the battery tray and servo mount you 3d printer?

The battery tray was modeled after this one. I had to change the angle of the tray because of the longer links. I would use the larger of the two tray so you can fit bigger batteries in it.

Do you have to change the wheelbase of your TRX-4 or is the body 313mm? I only need the servo mount because I had to extend the wheelbase to 370mm.

Subbed because this is awesome and I plan on doing this one day. Actually just bought a crawler kit last night as a quarantine project and then I remembered seeing this a while ago. Probably shouldn't buy two projects at once.

Really awesome build. Did you design this and 3D printed them? I’m very interested.

The designer and printer is M-Fab, his lives in China and started designing the 3D models for the RC Community to make it more realistic. I've been purchasing some of his products with his for a few years now. Here's his website with the current options he offers. https://mfab.mystrikingly.com/

@20tacoma17 has a pretty sweet build thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...d-gen-done-and-now-wide-body-overland.633631/

However this was posted on his Facebook page recently.
