I have a 2009 DC V6 4x4, just hit 29k miles yesterday, about 5k miles ago i noticed that my A/C started making a squeaky sound, almost like Tweety bird was hangin out in my dash. I assume its the fan motor? anybody have any suggestions of what this might be?

also, does anybody know if this fix is covered by warranty? i dont have the extended warranty, just the 5 year - 75k mile powertrain...

Your 3/36 warranty will cover it. Its a common issue.

thanks, i will take it in (i try to avoid dealers at all costs, but since im heading there anyway to get spark plugs for the 30k service, might as well get this taken care of)

im assuming they will replace the fan motor? just wondering if maybe i should call ahead before i go there to see if they need to order any parts? my closest dealer is really out of my way, so the fewer trips i can take, the better :)

    thanks again for your help/info

They should have it in stock. Cany hurt to call ahead though.
