Has anyone actually done this with favorable results? I'm considering it after my lift because it just hurts to see the angle. Now I understand that it negates some of the value of the lift by essentially counteracting the benefit, but since my off road adventures here in fla are 90% in the sand, I really don't worry about bashing my diff on a rock.

Do you have any wear on your boots? How high are you lifted?

About 2" over stock. The fins touch slightly. I'm thinking I'm still feeling vibration after the needle bearing replacement. It is definitely better, but seems like there is still vibration. It could be in my head, but I'm thinking for $30 it might be worth a try. It's like when I ask my wife "does 1" really make a difference?"

I’m running bilstein 8100’s at 2 inches of lift plus a 1/4 spacer on top with 1 inch front diff drop. My cv angles are good stock needle bearing from factory with just over 51k miles on it. Never had any issues with vibrations in 2 or 4wd to date. Been running 265/75/16 -12 offset wheels with 1.5 spacers and now 285/70/17 -38 offset wheels all good.

It's hard to imagine doing this because it hurts to look at. I don't spend enough time looking under my truck to bother with it if that's the case.

I'm about 2" myself and will have to recheck my boots, but my angles seem fine so I have never looked into a diff drop. I did the bushing though. Like you said, for $30 it may be worth trying.
