I had to order one because I wanted a specific color and package combo the dealer didn't have, and this particular dealer doesn't do trades I guess. I went through the Costco auto program so maybe that has something to do with it. I placed the order on March 14th and then the quarantine hit, so no clue when the truck will actually be here.

It depends on the region allocations, if that region choses to allocate trucks without them they'll be hard to find and vice versa.

Not really an order but either an allocation (something already planned to be built) or a special allocation which is a build not usually allocated to your region.

And yes they are worth it!

I recently bought a 2020 and LED headlights were not negotiable to me. You'd pay more than $485 to get them aftermarket and they wouldn't be as good, imo.

Glad I did. Very happy with them.

Can these be reto to a 2018 ? I can't stand the poor beam pattern for the low beams.

And would love a set that could be fixed under warranty.

Anyone have the part # off your builds ?

They are but the harness required is an aftermarket part for prior to 2020 / not factory equipped trucks and it would not be covered under warranty. There’s a megathread in here for it, $1100 for lights and $100 for the harness from a member here.

Wait for them as it is one of the key differences over older 3rd gen Tacoma's. That being said I have a have switched to LED bulbs in all my Tacoma's and love it.

Might get a better deal since no one is buying vehicles right now...

Stock halo yes. I have his conversion though. Same color temperature, about 150 bucks for a good setup (50 to 75 for sketchy), and when a bulb burns out I get a new one for 20 bucks. When the led burns out, isn’t the whole assembly needing to be replaced since it’s all integrated, for like 500 bucks and only from Toyota? I could be wrong.

for me I prefer hid in the projector housings. Still just as bright and just as white, also since it’s projector it’s not blinding every driver on the road (I did aim them down a little bit even).

They are worlds better! The Halogen projector-style work but are sub-par in my opinion. LED for sure!

Thanks for the info man I'll check the thread as it looks like I've got some reading to do ! Although just off price alone It might just make more sense to do a retro fit if they are 1200 US that's gonna be close to 1500 up here and have an aftermarket harness so no warranty.

Oh well back to researching thanks again

Personally, I consider the power adjustable seats to be a bigger benefit to the 2020s than the headlights.

You mean seat ;) and they are actually pretty uncomfortable compared to my last few trucks. I'd take my LED headlights over a seat in a midsize truck that only I drive any day.

I bought them at the retrofitsource too. But im having difficulty with removing bumber being that i have a 20trd sport. The front fender flares have clips above the front wheels. I broke the driver side clip and dont want to break the passengers side too. I removed all required screws and tabs but still cant get to the lower headlight screw to uninstall headlight because i cant get the bumper off. Any tips??

I only needed to remove the first 3 clips on each flare. I removed the panel that clips on next to the lights and reached under the headlight and squeezed them from the inside while an assistant pulled gently on the flare from the outside. Probably could have done it myself but it would have been more difficult. Then after the flares are loose you have pull the ends of the bumper out toward the flares to unclip it. Again a 2nd person is helpful.

I found it easier to reach through the removed grill area and push the tabs through that direction instead of pulling from the fender flare
