I’m just another guy who buys toys and kills them or drowns them like I did with my call of duty Rubicon a few months ago. My wife of 40 years said that I need to downsize my budget with disposable jeeps and trucks therefore... I bought a 99 Tacoma 5 speed 4x4 to fill my need to build, better, improve and try to destroy on the trails and power line roads that I hog hunt on in Texas. I will be looking for help in the future as the last Toyota I owned was a couple decades ago.

Thanks for making me feel welcome. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now and changing how it looks and drives. It had oversized mud tires on generic 15” rims (now in my shed Incase I need during an apocalypse). I Found a pristine set of 2016 taco rims with stock tires for $500 (in pic). Painted the hood as it was showing metal, painted grill, bought new headlights (faded beyond repair) and replaced every fluid and gear oils with aimsoil extreme. Bought it with 217k and plan on taking it to my grave. I see many DIY maintenance hours and mods in my future. Nice hobby!
