So I bit the bullet and decided to prefer this:

    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/123086119669

They were the cheapest at $125 at the time of buying, as all the other ones under that and were smooth style were suddenly out of stock.

i know these are for a long bed, but with free returns I’ll give it a shot. In another thread the long bed flares fit a short bed, and others I found have fitted them as well.

now to find the McMaster part numbers I remember from @tetten ’s thread

    My bad.

You're right. I am pretty positive that with a HC rear, the 6 footers will fit.

    Carry on :hattip:

I am curious what the actual differences are between SB and LB. On a SB, if you remove the flares there's a weird indentation on the bed itself, formed into the steel. On a LB, it's nice and smooth. That's the only difference that I'm aware of.

    You can see it here.

Yeah I noticed that when I ran fenderless with the 33x12.5x17s I ran for a few months lol

As long as it doesn't look too bad i'm cool with it. Honestly i'm tired of all my fenders rattling and being broken and sun fadded.
And it'll help when I get the wheels and tires from @dark vader trd pro in like 6 months :annoyed::bananadead:

And as soon as it’s over we gotta meet up! I have money for you and I’m tired of looking at my truck on small stock wheels lol

So I decided to power wash my truck, and when spraying the mud out of the engine bay I found this:

I guess a little guy got hungry or something maybe over winter? I haven’t popped the hood in a while, sooooo I guess I have another mini project during quarantine lol

In prep for tomorrow, decided to pull the fenders and wash the truck:

    70731048-B760-4E33-ACE6-0B6FFEF01D72.jpg

Found a bit of bubbly rust at the bottom of the passenger side bed which I think I’ll ignore? Fenders will cover it and in 5 years or more when it’s an issue I’ll deal with it then.

The plan is to clean, clay bar, and wax the truck before i actually put the fenders on. I held the long bed fenders up and the rears seem to be the same?

man my paint it extremely faded. It’s hard to see in the photo but it’s wild how different it is. I might decide to raptor line the whole thing one day.

Well I cleaned and clay barred the truck.

next is some wax and then I’ll throw the fenders on if there’s time.

My paint was suuuuuper faded when I bought the truck. I eventually gave it a good detailing. Wash, clay, cutting compound, polish, and wax. Took all day but it looked like it rolled off the showroom floor.

I don’t know about hard, but it is definitely time consuming. It took me 8 hours to do the truck.

It was with a dual action polisher, harbor freight special of course. Doing it by hand wouldn't be nearly as effective.

Washed, clay barred, waxed. Pulled the fenders to prep for new fenders to go on.

@EatSleepTacos my paint is begging to be monster lined or raptor lined one day lol

Threw the Softopper back on to test my prototype bike mounts too.

Overall busy Monday but happy to get out today!
