Looks good. I’ll be doing that to mine once the weather gets nicer. I have some FRP shower board to cover it all up.

Thanks! Last week I pulled off the rack, chopped off the ends, painted black and installed an awning. Installing solar next weekend.

    Anyone else have a Swiss?

Been rocking mine for a bit now, only rises a couple inches above the cab height.

Did most of mine today save for the top/side front and back corners since I’m waiting on that to mount and wire lights for the outside. Man what a pain in the ass this was. Not hard but because I’m ocd about this stuff it took longer than I thought. The FRP board I have is going to be fun to mount...

Nice. I went camping last Sunday where the Temps outside got into the 20's and it was great inside! That said, I did cover all the bed holes and add sealed the bed with silicone and seals!

I won’t be sleeping in mine but I wanted the interior skin when I ordered but it was expensive so I decided to do it myself. Hopefully it will help keep interior temps down and help protect the cap from dents/punctures.

Insulation....I tend to do things over the top...before I install the cap/topper, I'm going to unbolt the bed, raise it, & spray foam insulation on the composite bed tub....I found on various threads that a major complaint on any build is the cold floor & sides......

I agree! By bed rug helped but you can definitely feel the fold!

@Sna Are you gluing in the insulation or just press fitting it?

    Just the basics
Looks like a great rig and first trip. What do you keep in the drivers side storage?
How did you mount your awning?

No glue, just cut them slightly big to make sure they’re tight. They don’t move but even if they did it wouldn’t be a big deal since they’ll be covered up soon.

Keep my grill, dirtbike gear, and added an adjustable tool holder.

I mounted the awning with the brackets that come with it. I'll get a pick for you today

I believe it's an ARE DCU cap.

My brand new Century DCU with factory installed Thule Tracker II rack and interior carpet. I had them add two 6061-T6 x .125" plates that cover length of the shell. This was done to increase the structural support and to provide a firm mounting surface for the roof rack as these are not normally installed on DCU's. Many thanks to @ETAV8R:hattip:for showing me his Tradesman DCU. I was on the fence before I pulled the trigger on the Century and hit him up with some questions. The Tradesman has a ton of advantages over the other brands but in the end my budget just didn't permit the added expense for one.

I had a chance to take a few days off from work so my 12 yr old and I headed up to Big Bear to do a shake down test on the truck/shell and to search for yellow post sites...all of which were unfortunately occupied so we grabbed a site at Serrano campground.
