I installed a 300 Industries TDR grill on my Taco about 2 months ago. Had no problems with the install. Recently, the PCS Off light started coming on randomly, and I would lose use of cruise control. I took it to the dealer and they said it could need to be recalibrated since the sensor moved locations. About 4 hours later they told me it could not recalibrate and that they would only charge me for one-hour labor since they could not fix it. I was fine with that, but now I get an error message in the center screen as well as the yellow triangle above the speedometer. This did not happen before Toyota touched it. I am waiting to hear from the manager. Anyone else dealing with something like this?

auskip07 so the one that came with the grill from 300 Industries is the issue? Any recommendation?

Is the sensor dirty? After going through some mud, mines wasn’t working.

if you search the site. some are hit and miss. some people swear by the factory ones but for the $$$ it should work. i would buy another and see if that fixes the problem

When you mount the sensor onto the grill, shim the bottom bolts with 1 to 2 washers. This will angle the sensor in a more downward position.
I have DBCustomz grill (and truck is lifted). I had similar issue in the beginning and this technique cured it ever since.
After the shim, disconnect the battery for a bit and allow the truck to go thru several "cycles". or short trips turning it on and off. This is its learning cycle as I've been told. Sounds like a lot, but it works. Good luck.

Correct. My mistake. Shim the top to angle it down

I got the error message when I originally installed my grill. I tried shimming the sensor both up and down without any luck. I wound up buying another non-oem sensor garnish and that cleared the problem. It has not come on at all since. The first garnish I had looked similar to OEM with marking on the back. The second one I tried was completely smooth. Hope this helps.
