Not a bad way to spend them stimulus check and spend the remaining cash on toilet paper.

Nice view. This one size fits all stimulus isn't adjusted for location. $1200 is a months' property taxes here, but 6 months at the houses I'm looking at in NC an Kentucky. And that's looking at a similar house and more property. Oh well, hopefully only a few more years before I move.

Doesn't really account for income much each. Someone making $12,500/year is getting the same as someone that makes $75,000. So one person is getting 10% of their income and the other is getting 1.6%. That's a big difference when your bills probably match your income. There is gonna be a huge ripple in the economy.

Yea, but just think how much longer it would have taken if they had to do the math to figure out a more fair way to do this.

Oh, and if the current method pisses you off, don't even look up how much someone that is unemployed gets.

To be clear, it doesn't piss me off. I just don't think it's gonna be that helpful for a lot of people. Someone that isn't getting paid because they've been furloughed from their job for 2 months is gonna need more than $1200 (that's like 10% of the pay they are missing). They also are eligible for unemployment unless they are expected to miss more than 10weeks of work. So....seems to be a bit of a disconnect.

Agreed. Everyone is doing well tiptoeing on the line but it is not far before it turns political.
