im betting it has to do with the BP-51's and their lack of customer service towards them...

PS...do you have much experience with Isuzu diesels? Specifically the 4he1 series

the big 4 banger? It’s been a while since I’ve messed around with one. Injection pump issues?

Yeah the 4 banger. Used in their box trucks. Buddy is looking at a used box truck with one in it. I just dont know anything about them (outside of typical diesel stuff)

I wire wheeled mine and recoated them a few weeks ago in anticipation of my welder showing up and my truck hitting the road again.

If it’s lower mileage it might be worth it the injection pumps can be finicky and a bitch to prime correctly. Most people steered away from them and opted for the 350 due to less costly maintenance and parts availability.

I thought I saw somewhere else that has it on sale w/rebate right now. I've been keeping my eye out for more since tractor supply had that sale + MIR.

My BPs are puking oil and customer service says the GX is an “untested platform” so the warranty is void.

Is the 4runner an untested platform? How about the land cruiser prado that they love down under? Last time I checked it was the same platform.......This is unfortunate to see from them.

They’ve been tested and failed on almost everything as far as I’ve seen. I think most people try not to bash them and pawn them off to some other sucker on Craigslist.

    Interesting...

My bud has BP-51s on his FJ and we all know those are fat ass and heavy but he wheels the S out that suspension.
He was doing 60mph on Saline Valley road from the hot springs to Hunter Mountain T.
Us with Fox 2.5 DCS RR could manage 45mph on that legendary washboard road for 45 minutes.

There must be about the 5 people on this thread with the BP leaking problem? Not sure if anyone recalls but there were several since the BP's came out.

Wtf? That's like saying the warranty on Goodyear MTs are void if you put them on a civilian vehicle because they're supplied to the military and used on a Humvee..

You should have told them you had them on your old Tacoma... :anonymous:

I sent them a list. Prado, FJ, 4Runner. I think a bunch of companies are eating their lunch across their entire product line and they're trying to stop the bleeding. My actual complaint is they were supposed to be rebuildable and anything saying that has disappeared. They've been out for six years and theres still no way to service the shocks, making it a $3500 disposable suspension.
