I replaced the front discs over the weekend with some Stoptech cryo-treated/slotted discs. When I put them on, I noticed that the holes in the disc were larger than the studs coming out of the hub, so the disc was able to move slightly on the hub.

I originally thought I had the wrong part, but when I compared them to the OEM discs, the hole size was the same. On my other cars when I've replaced the discs the holes matched up very closely with the hubs and resulted in a snug fit.

I assume since the OEM discs were the same that it's fine, but is there any special trick to make sure the install was done correctly? I've looked through a bunch of how to write ups and videos but that's not specifically mentioned in any of them.

I also may be overthinking this, which would be normal for me. Any input is appreciated.

What year is your truck? You needed disks already, or is the "Bro Cool" stuff?

If the OE rotors had the same play you are fine. If not, I would go back to stock.

Cool - thanks for chiming in and indulging my OCD.
The discs fit snugly on the hub was just wondering on the hole size.
