my wife had a CRV and two pilots. She was ready for a truck, and even she thought the Ridgeline was too sissy looking. If Honda is going to call that truck a Ridgeline, Toyota should rename the Prius The Brute.

I just sold my 2016 because of this very reason, kids. I did not have any kids when I first bought the truck, and wasn’t really planning on it either. A few years down the road, and I got tired of my daughter kicking me in the shoulder while we’re driving down the road. I couldn’t imagine trying to fit two car seats in the truck. Her car seat would only fit in the middle, FWIW. Not an ideal truck for a family. I love the Tacoma and will probably buy another down the road, but for now it won’t work.

I would recommend the 4Runner if you don't need a truck, if you do need a truck then maybe the Tundra. Double cab Tacoma rear seat is tight, ok for pre teens about it. 4Runner is mfg Japan, has the tried and true 4.0L with 5 spd auto.
