    Hello,

Like many people before me, I am considering an RC lift kit. More specifically their 6” lift kit. Let’s be honest it’s mainly for looks.

I’d like to pose a serious question to those who have personally experienced installing and or driving with this kit?

How was the installation process? Any unforeseen hiccups?

How is the ride after installation?

Lastly: Would you do it all over again with the new found experience you have installing this kit?

I know there are many people with strong opinions, however, I am looking for information from those who have actually done this personally not vicariously. I have watched videos read manuals and read forums related to this subject matter. Most of the forums I’ve read through are full of opinion and not necessarily fact from experience.

I’ve seen that many folks have had to cut and replace their LCA’s during their lift kit install regardless of the kit they purchase. I have also read that RC lift kits ride poorly. if anyone can confirm this from experience please chime in here.

As always thank you for your time and support during this process.

Isn’t your truck a 5 lug? I doubt there are any drop bracket lifts for a 5 lug.

The RC website says that their 6” lift kit is compatible with 2wd Tacoma’s. So I didn’t consider that aspect...
I typed in my make model year and 2wd of course. It said their kit would fit.

    That's what a PreRunner is: 2wd 6 lug. Can be 4 or 6 cylinder.
