I’ve thought about it too, I’ve wanted a rubicon for a while so that’s the direction I’d end up going. I just don’t want to start all over with payments. Thats more-or-less what’s stopping me lol.

Whatever you do don't go with a Jeep lol. The rubicon is nice but I'd rather have an old shitbox Toyota that can out wheel a rubicon for a 1/10 of the price. Plus you can flop it, roll it back over and keep going haha. I'm dreading the day that happens on my 4runner lol

Theres something about a jeep I can't shake off! but Im so bored of payments that it most likely wouldn't happen and if it did it would be the base model 2 door with roll-up windows. lol.
An old shitbox is the way to go though, I can't count how many times I've almost shit my self for almost hitting a rock with my door. Anything but the door!! dam things are expensive

Mom has a 2018 JLU Rubi, fully loaded, $56k, Dad paid $52k in May when they first were on dealers lots commanding MSRP. Anywho, its badass content wise and looks, but fit and finish, ya nope. Already has been in for 3 recalls in its short life.

Seems like hit or miss though. My cousin has a 2018 Rubicon, no issues (yet).. we will see down the line.

She hasn’t had any “issues” but I guarantee your cousins fell under at least one of the many recalls. Fit and Finish is garbage which is what I was saying. Especially for $50k. Check out the JLU forum and you’ll see.

I do remember test driving it, I had a very “meh” experience. Off road it’s a beast on 37s though. I just need an old beater lol.

Ya I mean content wise, its awesome, heated steering wheel, the Alpine system is killer compared to our JBL, lots of really nice design features on the JL, you can just tell though stuff isnt going to last. But ya rear and front locking diff, sway bar disconnect, the whole infoscreen upfront and all the offroad features are killer, steel bumper, ya its bad ass, I almost traded for one but couldn't stomach the payments.

I know I'm weird and in the minority but I think a nicely built gladiator is pretty sexy and enough to eat at my Toyota loyalty.

Gah, those rear doors! I hate that they just used the stock JLU/JKU back doors instead of building a new one.
