Hello I’m looking to put a lift on my 2011 Tacoma trd sport it’s just a run around ranch pickup with a arb steel bumper and custom flatbed carries mainly fence post and ton of mineral mainly driving on pasture roads but lot of highway pavement I’m not wanting to spend a lot and still keep my uca stock but was looking at this setup Bilstein 5100 adjustable set at 2.5 in front and Bilstein extended 5100 with the ome medium leaf package just looking for some information thank you

I’ve seen a lot of reviews that 2.5 is too much and rough ride and that I will need new uca and some that say it’s great and I’ll be fine with stock uca

I put the Bilstein adjustables and set them at 1.75.. It rides nice, the alignment is good and the stock UCA's worked.I did this a few years ago.In hindsight I should have bought new coil springs from Headstrong and let the spring do the lift.

So I’m new to this lifting deal by 1.75 is that how much lift you got int the front? This is the setup I’m looking at Bilstein adjustable for front and Bilstein 5100 extended with ome medium leaf package

Are you planning on upgrading coils?

If you're going to get a new rear leaf pack might as well get new front coils. @HeadStrong Off-Road will help you out and hook you up with exactly what you need.
I'd suggest OME 885's to complement the OME medium duty dakars, without knowing too much about your truck.

For those advising new coils, why not use existing stock coils? Just curious.

Got it, that makes sense. I'm looking at a Bilstein 5100 + AAL, but was planning on keeping my stock coils. But I'm not adding any bumper or winch weight.

Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
Find a set of 3rd gen coils. That alone will give you an inch. Then you could set the perch on a lower groove.

    Edit: I should read a little better first. I see you've got a 3rd gen.

Alot of people do but it's not ideal as Bilsteins are valved for heavier springs and stock springs typically do not provide consistent and adequate height or desirable characteristics.

A heavier spring like the ome or Bilstein will pair quite nicely with Bilstein 5100. Not to mention you will have a bit more travel than with stock coils.

Yeah I'd say you might even want to add another leaf to the HD pack.

They're a relatively unknown brand by most but probably the best springs you can get. No sag like all pros and no squeak like dakar. They are Australian made and have been in business longer than arb and all pro. 50 and 25 years longer respectively.

Their new IMS line is industry changing as well. I always recommend Dobinsons!
