Just picked up this 3rd Gen yesterday. Took a while to find one thats completely stock with all the maintenance records. I've owned multiple Tacomas over the years but this is my first 4Runner. Its a very different feeling then a truck with a bed, I like it. I cant wait to mod it a bit and take it out in the woods to see what it can do. I've also never owned a 4x4 with a diff lock. Going to have to do some research on that.

Timing belt was done but water pump doesn't look new o_O I'm planning on going completely through it.

    My immediate plans are:

-Front bumper with a wench (not sure which one yet)
    -Light bar or fog lights
    -BFG's
-Leveling kit (I assume they're like the tacoma kit front and back)

I want it ready for camping season.

Where does everyone order parts from? Thanks

    -Joe

Very nice! I’m on the search for one myself, I did find one but someone got to it before me.

Enjoy the 4Runner! I have had four 4Runners; one of which was a 2002. I enjoyed my 2002 and it never was a problem. Hopefully yours treats you the same.

I went out and measured it. From the tire to the fender, its about 1/2" higher in the front. I am not sure if thats a normal stance, but i am looking for maybe a leveling kit that give me 2" in front and 2.5" on the rear. But from what i am seeing, it looks like most kits gives you more lift for the front then the back. So maybe my 4Runner is sagging slightly? Might have order an adjustable coil over. Definitely getting all new shocks, but first I have to decide on lift hight.
