It was your bumper on IG that led me to paint it the way I did. This pic is from today but it’s been on yotacrew before maybe?? I’m 3.go_t8y8ta on IG.

Got the winch in there by using an 84-86 style grille from rock auto.

Drove 2hrs each way to Charlotte yesterday. 15.5 mpg. Not bad. Wishing I had gone with 4.88 gears instead of 5.29 for highway driving. @ 65mph, RPMs are 3100.

My next round of mods will help for 37’s by moving the steering box forward and bastard front leaf packs using RUF springs. Then it should be much better. The RUF packs will move the front axle forward an additional ~1.75”.

If ever I get to all that. It’s not often I need to drive 65-70mph in this truck.

But I really like the look of the 35’s. That’s why I was wishing for 4.88’s. It would save a lot of work at this point in the game.

Pain in the ass! But it’s stabbed.

I put a red circle on the picture of the tail housing because if you don’t notch that and trim 1/4” from the 2wd/4wd shift rail, you’re going to have a bad time. Hoping by posting this anyone trying to do a single 4.7 Tcase behind a 3.0L will search and land here to ask questions. It was a bitch test fitting so many times to get it right.

If you don’t trim the shift fork and notch the tail housing it will not shift into 4wd.

Had to order a new rear driveshaft. The slip joint was completely compressed when mounted in place. It’s like wiping my ass with $100’s lately. Fuck.

80’s decals are the best. Model/year correct.

The decals looks great. I never liked them back in the 80s but now the bring out the retro. Nice.

For sure. There is a certain nostalgia to them and it’s very identifiable with the older Toyota’s.

Power steering pump rebuild. The old seals were not in good shape. This should fix the leak that it had.
