Yeah I didn't get any wires. I assume the positive wire is thicker than the negative.

Thank you! I’m in the process upgrading my speakers (JL Audio), and i was confused and angry last night when I unplugged the rear speakers only to find it had a different connection. I looked up and down the internet and thankfully to this post I was able to Find the plug (it’s was also on Amazon for $3 more, but faster shipping). Either way, cheers mate, thanks for posting and letting us know. And silly Toyota for changing it up.

PS. Did anyone else notice there are two connectors when you change out the tweeters?

Tweeters should be a 4 wire connector. If no tweeter no audio passes to door speaker. Very curious of what the JBL door speakers look like compared to the crappy standard stock speakers.

The smaller tab is the "negative" on the speaker and wire harness as seen in the pictures.

Are you running those on the stock stereo power or have you added an amp?

If on stock power, have you noticed any loss in volume due to the different impedance of the aftermarket speakers

No the front Kicker 46CSC6934 3-Way and rear Kicker 46CSC674 2-Way are both 4 Ohms same as the factory OEM's. I did not add an amp or sub but I do miss my sub from my traded vehicle.

I wanted to start with just the speakers and tweeters with the new 8" head unit in the 2020 before spending more. I found most of the sound in the OEM setup was from the dash tweeters.

I have the full Kicker CS upgrade, Subaru tweeters, 6x9 3 ways, 6 3/4 2 ways and added a JL Audio 8" powered sub. For my taste, and others have said, there is to much Highs . I have my trebble turned all the way down. Sounds pretty good but needs more power in my opinion.

Why do people go with a 3 way 6x9 Kicker instead of the 2 way? I would bet that highs are way too screechy with a 3 way door speaker and the use of the dash tweeters.

Yes, I agree. Now...... Ha ha. Thinking of changing the front doors to Infinity Kappa 2 ways.
