All pro sliders fitment problems

I finally got the time to put my All Pro sliders on and it seems that on both sides that the lower two holes are too far down to drill and get a bolt in. Anyone else have this issue ?

Can you just use a floor jack to push it up into place?

 

I would just don't know where the proper location is.

 

Metal moves when welded. Push it into place with a jack...Or

 

Would have to jack it up and then drill the 4 holes.

 

I had the same issue. I just didnt do the lower holes. I figured the other 12 bolts on both sides will do the trick. 4 missing bolts won't hurt much. If I feel bad about it I'll spot weld it in. I think @crashnburn80 had the same issue

 

Negative. I have the Apex series, the front attachment doesn’t float separate, it is continuous down the frame.

 

Yeah that's the newer style.

 

I don’t think it’s newer, they offer a a few different levels of build. Apex is their strongest, which uses the style posted above. The other versions use the style with the free floating front mount.

 

I don't think you can buy this style with the front free floating anymore but I may be wrong. I think it was one of the first models that they made.

 

Looks like you are correct. They were bought by trail gear a while back and they likely changed some of the product offerings afterward.

 

I do like all the new mounting points on the APEX. But I couldn't pass on a deal. Doesn't help that anything shipped to Ohio isn't cheap.
