2013 Prerunner I4, 2WD, 77k miles, Asking $18k OTD. No rust, 2 owners, Clean Title. Too much or just right?
No need for 4WD, I live in Florida, no need for a 4 door because I don't have kids, I like the access cab look better and the idea of being able to camp out of the bed. I'm hung up on the look of the 2012- If I want a 6 cylinder from the same year it would cost me $22k+

Too much, my 2018 DCSB was $26k new. A new access cab should be a couple less, maybe $23k? Most of the way to 100k, and 8 years should buy more than a $5k discount IMO.

Then again, that’s more of an argument for buying new. So if you want a 2012, you’re kind of up to what the market demands.

The market demand seems to be high from these prices. I want a 2012- im not interested in a new vehicle

When people talk price on here I assume if you don't say OTD that means you bought through a private party?
The price I mentioned for the Prerunner includes dealer fees, tax, tag, and title. That puts my original price close to $16k maybe less. New to the experience of buying from a dealer, I would obviously prefer a private party but Tacos are so great that no one is selling right now.

I should have specified mine was private party.

No worries. I think that solved my confusion on why this truck seemed so expensive. $18k is still a lot but for a truck that's going to last for well over 10 years, keep me out of debt, and look great while doing it, I'm happy.
I know everyone on this forum will stand by the statement of, if you're not towing more than 3k lbs the I4 has all the power I'll ever need for daily driving.

Yeah dealership has to make money on top of fees and taxes which are usually included in sale price (which I had to pay on top later of course). Also I think private sale can be less expensive because not alot of people have that cash on hand..

That’s a really good price for the year and mileage. If you don’t mind, what brand topper is that I see in your avatar?

It was a good deal (i'd say) from a small town private dealer.

09 access cab automatic. 2wd five lug, not super desirable in Maine. It was an old fleet vehicle for a security company and had been sitting in their back lot for a year just sinking in the dirt. Bought it for $600 with 200k on it, at 250k now after doing brakes and U-joints. Changed the engine oil and that's about it. F98473D5-5790-4A62-8AA0-E9213779E0EA.jpg

Market demand has always been very high here, NJ/NY area. Especially low mileage ones. It really doesn’t pay to buy used. Local dealer has a 2019 4cyl access cab with 15K miles asking $26,500. Jeez. It’s higher than original MSRP. But it is red.

I noticed on the Toyota Canada website you cant even configure a 2020 Tacoma with the 2.7L. Looks like V6 only now.

Back in 2014 I bought my 04' for $10,000 at a dealership. She had 43,xxx on her with a bunk frame. I got the recall and had a new frame 2 weeks later and have only put about 60k on her since.
