What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got the grill surround paint matched and got the clearcoat fixed after wet sanding and doing some polishing. Came out great, i have zero complaints and i did it all by hand with rattle cans off Amazon and from advance auto parts. Paint matched PERFECTLY, Super happy how it came out

I had a grey '06...bought new. I through on some Tien S-Tech springs, AR1 16s with 205/50 rubber and rear hub spacers, TRD strut bar, TRD CAI, the factory accessory TYC tails and some JDM OEM fog lights. I loved it. I should've never sold it.

The little 1.5 1NZ engine only makes 100 hp but they are durable. They saw duty in the Echo, Yaris, xA, xB and 1st 2 Prius gens.

The manual tranny versions have the JDM gearing...meaning they're meant for the tight streets of Tokyo....not necessarily American freeways. They turn an rpm or 2 at 70 mph.

Today, I installed Tacomabeast (Spyder) projector headlights on the truck, also re-plastidipped the grill surround becasue it was peeling. I am also going to replace the high and low beam halogen bulbs with H1 LED bulbs as soon as possible! I would strongly recommend these headlights.

What a b&*$! to remove and replace the stupid lower bolt at the bottom of the headlight that is in the hidden fender area

Looks great! I need to clean my engine compartment too and wanted to check how you got yours so clean. I asked another member who recently did a similarly great job cleaning his engine and he used a pressure washer. What is your engine cleaning process? Thanks.

 

It was a little windy out. Plus I spent too much time detailing yesterday to risk it lol

 

Quarantine wash...need to get on the engine bay cleaning bandwagon

I dig the fact that the motor has a timing chain, not belt.

In TX, mine is known as blue box.......bout the only mods on it when I got it was the bB badging and rr bumper scuff guard.
