Just know that if you de-badge, you will never get a picture like this...

I know what I'm driving. I debadged and removed the stickers. Looks way cleaner! Time to black some stuff out.

I'm actually proud of my truck. I'm also a fan of Toyota's history in off road and racing. I have removed the dealer badge. That phucker did not a damn thing for me.

Saw this thread and decided I like the debadged look. I've had my truck just over a year, live in sunny South Florida. Will there be any difference in the paint that's under the badges compared to my paint now?

    Still in progress...
Decals and rear badges were removed right away. Figured I would try out blacking out the side emblems before removing them. Thinking now there OK as is...

Debadged. Love the clean look and like others said, easier to clean/wax with them gone.

When I am done...mine will not say Toyota, TRD, Or Tacoma anywhere on it, inside or out.

Badges? We dont need no stinking badges!

Where i live, everyone seem to debadge or black out the badges. I dont mind the look of badges/stickers, so i left them. Also, did not want to be like all the other tacos around here. I can see how its easier to clean though. I screwed up a bit around badges when i was applying ceramic coating, but nobody sees it but me.

I will probably get some darker gray Trd sport stickers at some point, i like how those look. Other than that, im not planning to do anything else.

I removed my badges and bought matte black badges. Happy with the results but if you go this route take your time removing and realigning the new badges.

A cautionary tale.....This was hidden under the black vinyl on the driver's door "B" pillar when I removed it from my truck. There was an imperfection in the paint (the black dot) and the factory sanded it down to apply the vinyl. Pretty much every car I've owned, I have debadged, to include any vinyl. This was the first time I have found a paint issue underneath. Not a huge deal, as I really like the look of the truck without the black on the doors, but still a bit disappointing nonetheless when I discovered it.

. Not cool at all, I would be pretty pissed.

Thankfully my truck came without that vinyl. I never liked the look of that vinyl too.

Also, not sure whey had to sand such a big area for a tiny dot. Fuckers.
