Up Next: I'll do a couple of final things to the truck to prep for camping season. We have some treks to Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia lined up this year.
    Toyota bed mat (April) Complete
Replace Volant Intake filter (February) Complete
@Coupe Volant CAI cover (March-if he has any left in stock)
    Spark plugs (March)

    ARB Awning 4'x8' (March)
Powdercoat and re-install my Avid Offroad light bar (May)

Toyota bedmat arrived. Intake cover from Coupe arrived last week. So did the rear view mirror bracket from MrYo. Plugs were replaced, too.

    Next:
ARB awning and powdercoating my bumper guard.

Then this truck project is pretty much done!

Lol nope! Got sidetracked after a wildly high powder coating estimate.

I tinted the front side windows.
    Ordered windshield sun shades.
Ordered some FJ flip down sun visors to install in backseat for kids.
Installing some dual dvd screens in backseat for long distance traveling.

So now, the next steps will be coolant flush, greasing my UCA zeros, installing awning prior to Fall camping, powder coating and reinstalling the bumper guard.

After last Summer's mods (tint, visors, dual-screen dvd player, Softopper bag) and maintenance (alignment, coolant flush, spark plugs, Volant air filter replace, new intake cover), the Taco took a backseat for a while due to other projects (motorcycle, house, etc).

Spring camping trips are right around the corner. I swapped out my broken stock battery tie-down for one of @Coupe 's nice adjustable units. Finally, put that on last weekend. Just ordered the ARB 2000x2500 so we'll have some cover for the camping kitchen. I didn't want to pay $300, but we'll put it to good use. I need to do the following:

    • Scrub my top as it has some mildew/soap residue.
    • Replace radio antenna with a longer unit, clean mounting post with contact cleaner.
    • The belt is starting to squeak at startup after 107,xxx miles.
    • Grab an , but they're always sold out.
    • I keep going back & forth on the hidden winch up front.
    • Need to sandblast and powder-coat the front push bar and re-install.

Ordered the ARB 2000x2500 room for my birthday. Looking forward to setting it up and hope to maybe camp again once all this mess is over.

    134,xxx miles Update:
    • Installed LR UCAs two years ago. Not sure if I mentioned it. Made a big improvement in handling. I strongly recommend these if you're lifting your truck.
    • Installed my third set of Cooper Adventurer ATs a year ago. I do a lot of driving and camping across the Southeast, so they're good for about 3 years.
    • Got Avid bumper guard powder-coated in the Winter but need to do some modding to the brush guard for fitment.
    • Grabbed some SideRide bike mounts from @Nimble9 and had them powder-coated. I'll install them before this Summer's adventures.
    • Added the ARB LED light strip to my awning last month. I appreciate the three color options.
    • Added interior molle panels for the center console last year for holster, radio & random gear.
    • Have used the awning room tent five times in the past year. Great addition and good for anything but windy rain. Pro tip: lower one pole so the water runs off but make sure the water isn't splattering onto your cooler and into the tent all night.
    • I might've fried my overhead compartment when I upgraded the MESO map lights. The V1 pair were failing and MESO kindly sent over new ones. I failed to disconnect my battery and now nothing. I have new fuses but haven't made the time to work on this.
    • Brake job #2 next week. I'll most likely do the Tundra 6-piston kit the next time I do brakes as I have a 15' boat and 6x12' race hauler now.
    • Still debating a front hidden winch and headers but not priorities right now. Plugs, gaskets & belt are most likely the next things.
    • I use Mobil 1 full-synthetic high mileage oil, Pennzoil if Mobil 1 isn't available.

Not enough but up at Lake Nottely, when I can. I grew up saltwater fishing in the Panhandle.
