    I want this so much my only concern is the performance hit going to a 80 lbs+ tire/wheel combo

    want to go skinnies and there arent very many 17" wheel options less than 8.5" wide

    I drive with the trans in 'sport' [gear lever pulled left] and keep it out of 6th [unless I am on the freeway doing 65+] of the time and dont really have any issues

    Hahaha I'm having that internal debate with myself. I like the hybrid tire idea, but I hear nothing but great things about the yokohoma MT in C load at 32.2"

    I used the yokohoma MT's on 79 series LC's and they did phenomenal for the environment

    You should look at the mastercraft courses. It is from cooper and they have at, mt, and hybrids

    My 285s and 17s almost weigh 80 pounds. I think I lost about 1mpg or so. I get 18-19mpg in the summer and still 17mpg in the winter. Front/rear bumper and sliders too. It does feel slower than the 255s I had on before for sure though.
