I have the first one on my Tacoma, highly recommended. In addition to the quality and fitment the performance is unmatched. Superior in my opinion to any other spring under kit on the market, my frame is notched for maximum bump travel and uses a 3.0x16 bypass and the dirt king production bed cage. Call greg at dirt king and he can get you dialed in

"Aside from..." Did you have issues with fitment?

Truck looks killer! We will be offering those complete kits soon, with a tuned shock package.

I'm pretty sure I'm the guy that you read the comment from lol. I emailed them and am currently trying to figure out if this kit will work without modification for a long bed or not.

You are probably looking at around 10 for everything including labor after tax. Atleast that's the amount I got quoted. Which is quite inline with a lot of other quotes I've gotten for a DMZ kit.

I was speaking on the SUA only. That doesn't include bedsides or driveline mods. No clue what the front would run, I'm lucky I already have the front of mine built or I would faint at that entire quote :D

    I think that’s a pretty accurate estimate

your saying 10k for just a spring under kit? cus i can buy a bed cage, 16in king triple bypasses and the spring under kit from camburg for 5500.....and i do all the work myself so labor isnt an issue, i have dirt king long travel in the front now, i would just like to keep all the parts to one company. but if they told you 10k i wouldnt even consider it

We recently pieced together a kit similar to the one you described, bed cage, spring under, 2.5 x 16 custom tuned bypasses, w/air bumps etc.

I’m sure that 10k was for shocks, bedcage, spring under and labor. Of course if you can do that labor yourself you’ll save money. Seeing the quality that dirt king puts into their components and installs you will be stoked if you have them do the labor they go above and beyond the typical install. I had a 3rd gen at my work the other day with Camburg spring under and bedcage and dropped out it was 14.5” from the bottom of the frame to the top of the axle tube. The DK kit I have gets an additional 2” of droop and 2” of bump travel. And at that you still have frame boxing, bump stops, etc.

I'm sure the work is top quality which is good and you're paying for what you get, but $14k for the front puts you in the price bracket of Solo xlt 4x4 w/ bypasses and possibly a bumper. I know since I've purchased all my front parts for this exact setup and still won't get to $10k w/ a quote for $2k for the install (which I did on my own / paid a friend to help on things I couldn't manage myself).

Go to post #19 to detour around some banter accidentally set off with my post.

    Solo XLT 4WD kit $4750
    Solo 4340 XLT axles $2195
Solo XLT WIY shock hoop kit $1050
    King 2.5 c/o with springs $1600
    King 3.0 bypass $2300
    King 2.0 bumps $600
    Total $12,495

You are absolutely insane if you think even a garage fab shop would touch that install for 2k. Solo charges 5k+ and the additional work that needs to be done to get all 19” of travel out of it, and at that your getting your moneys worth they do great work . People go Into it thinking they can spend X amount of dollars and in the end reality far exceeds that. If you do indeed tackle this project make sure you keep us updated on progress and price I’d be curious to see the quality of work your getting for $2000 or doing it yourself
