This whole venture has been comically bad.

I ordered the wheel hub/rotor combo and it came as just a rotor because the parts listing was wrong.

I ordered a spindle nut set and instead of the 2 nuts and a lock washer the box just had 2 lock washers in it.

AutoZone next day shipping isn't so convenient after all. To make a return to the store you need to call customer support and get a transaction number and originating store number. they can't pull up your order information in store.

My new to me junkyard spindle still had the inner bearing that the front axle shaft would ride on to keep it from rubbing the spindle.

No problem, it's a little thing and I usually don't have much issue breaking them. Yesterday I spent about an hour trying to break it out with a chisel and couldn't get the cage out. I dropped it at a shop and they told me that they broke a puller trying to remove it so I felt vindicated at the least in my frustration with it. The half hour of labor they charged was worth it for my sanity

Didn't have a ton of time this evening but I got the new studs in to the hub, packed the inner wheel bearing, installed said bearing, and installed the wheel seal.

I also cleaned up the spindle and put a new coat of RTV on the back and installed it with 3 bolts while it cures

Poking along. Forgive my lazy hub spray paint job. Last thing I need for the rear is the spindle nut set which is in the mail. I would reuse my old one if it hadn't turned itself into a jigsaw puzzle

Got the steering cooler remounted a little lower. Ran new lines and made sure that they have better radii than last time. I took a better look at the fluid that came out and it is dark and smells burnt but still has quite a bit of red to it --- I guess the pump failed due to non-heat related reasons :notsure:
