Can anyone recommend a reliable but cheap programmer I can use to reprogram the truck twice per year when I switch the tires? I don't need to read the codes. I only need to reprogram the truck with one set of codes or the other.

I use the Ateq Quickset. Works perfect. It will read the codes that are already programmed in the vehicle but you need to manually put the codes for your other set of tires into the computer program.

I use the Ateq Quickset also. It works.

    Fresh gas.

    Kind of yeah?

My TRD OR doesn't have TPMS... or at least i've had aftermarket rims and tires on it for a month now, and it hasn't lit up on the dash. Not that I want it to either, though...

Three days without TPMS sensors and the dash light hasn't lit up yet.

I'm exploring getting new blank TPMS sensors to clone to my original wheels so that when I do my summer/winter switch I don't need to reprogram the truck.

I don't know enough about tpms to know if this is a dumb question but I'll ask anyway, lol. To get the new codes off new sensors, can you do that after the tires are already mounted? I just received my new wheels and tires from custom offsets, and they come already mounted and balanced with new sensors installed. Do you think they by chance would have the codes to send to me?. I'd hate to pay for mounting twice. Thanks for your help!

Any tire shop should have a handheld trigger tool. You point it at the valve stem and it reads and displays the codes.

I bought the Autel MaxiTPMS TS501 from Amazon.ca to program the ECU and learn senor IDs. Just scan the tire sensors and upload to the ECU when you change over from winter to summer tires. Saves going to dealer and giving them more of your money. It's not cheap at $289 but after a few years pays for itself.

Go to a tire shop and have them read them. Either that or take them off and look at the sensors.

The Carista app or TechStream will show you them and allow you to reprogram them.

How much did they charge for this? The dealership was 800$ for 5 TPMs Sensors installed on my tires. I don’t understand why that much? Wondering if I should buy the OEM sensors and take them somewhere else? But I don’t know if a regular tire shop could sync them up

You can sync them up in your garage with a cheap version of techstream. It's a cake walk.
