2007 White Taco SR5 PreRunner

I’ve got a slight oil burn goin on and not sure if it’s the valve Gaskets or the oil I put in it, i bought it and immediately put high mileage synthetic in it since it’s got 185k odo. What would be the best oil to put in it regarding performance and longevity for the motor. And would the miles really play a big part in the 4cyl and oil together.
