Nice!! The cactus with the red/purple fruit is delicious. Gotta get the fruit and take the thorns off. Served cold is the only way or it can cause stomach aches lol. Dont take it from the park cz it will get u in trouble. My family is from the Mexico side of the border so there’s no problem there haha. It has a similar kiwi flavor to it. Looks like y’all had a ton of fun!

One other thing I learned on this trip. We got to camp too late to set up my tent so I slept in a roof top tent. It sucked climbing down in the middle of the night to piss. And it sucked to get all my shit out of it the next morning just to go take a shower. And then to set it all up the next evening and so on...........
My plan is to get one for my off road trailer (the one in the pics) when I finish it but I'd never have one mounted to an actual rooftop. Too much of a hassle to set it up, prepare for the night, break it all down again including removing all my shit from inside it just to do it all over again every morning & evening.

    My trailer I built:
I built it to go w/my FZJ80. It has the same wheels/tires my 80 did & the same wheelbase, from hitch to tires, so it'd track exactly the same as my 80. I'll need to tweak it a bit to match my Taco. Items I still need to add are a water tank (~25 gal.), instant water heater, battery, inverter, lid, some lights & RTT. It works well as-is but I'd like it to work really well.

Probably 85% are okay for 2wd.
We were set to go to BBNP, leaving today, but they shut it down due to Chinese Kung Flu. IDK if we'll reschedule for when it reopens or what. Pretty bummed.

Actually did the same trips a couple weeks ago after my spring break trip to ski was cancelled. Will post some awesome pics in the morning!

Here's my rig when we were at a campsite 10 miles before the town of Terlingua. Cool place!

A several places you could do little jumps and several places you could jump to your death. Best of both worlds!

Let me know when you are planning to go if you don't mind some company. I've hiked in BBNP, but never ridden the trails of BBRSP. I'd love to go with company.

I have never drove any of the trails. I go in November for the chili cook offs. But I usually intend up in the national park for some hiking. Plan on taking the truck on some trails this year!

We want to go in June but I'm thinking it'll be too hot for the kiddos by then. What do you all think. May have to wait for the fall now. Or just stop along the way to New Mexico.
