I've been doing a lot of searching before I buy my new wheels but I still have a couple of questions.

I've read that steel wheels are heavier than alloys, will this have a noticeable effect on power or mpg?

I plan on running 285/75/16's on my new lift (3" front, 2" rear) and have heard multiple things about backspacing. Most people say 4" backspacing will be enough but some people are saying if you're going to do wheeling have 3.75".

I plan on buying the wheels listed bellow. I think they are the same as wheelers type B wheels. Is this correct? Will they most likely fit without rubbing?

Thanks in advance for responding, just wanted to make sure i have everything right before I spend nearly $300.

BTW the truck is a 2001 xtra cab V6 TRD with the 3" front toytec springs and rear toytec AAL

Those wheels are a little narrow to be running 285's. Look for an 8" wide wheel with 4" of backspacing.

Also the steel wheels will be heavier but I doubt you'll notice.

for that width 8" is almost necessary. steel wheels are heavier than alloy and with the added weight of 285's and steel wheels you are going to be adding a lot of rotational mass so personally i dont think with a v6 it will be noticable until you go through a couple tanks of gas and realize your using the skinny pedal a little more to get going. thats my 2 cents
