My favorite part about "working" from home is having time to read threads like this. I think I'll fire up this video over lunch.

Sheesh, I don't get the negativity. It's a cool truck and he seems like a cool guy. I don't get all of the criticism on spending $25k on truck mods. Why care about that? Heck, some (I've heard ) spend that every year on vacations with nothing to show for it! :p

Excuse me sir, this is TW. Telling people how they should or should not spend their money is the backbone of this organization!

To be fair the majority of posts on here are "What brand <insert thing here> should I get?" and "Just bought my truck, upgrading from a moped, what should I do with it?", it's pretty easy to apply the same logic across the board. "Hey, look what I've done!" begets a "that's not what I've done, why didn't you do it like I did?" and any post where somebody has more money for mods than everyone else is met with "omfg you are the arbiter of death, you have destroyed the economy and the climate, my wife left me."

Not sure why it surprises anyone.

Sure, I agree. The statement you just made is a good example of the type of logic that was lacking from the post I quoted. Almost no blanket statement can be correct, and some of the comments I see here strike me more as bitter, jaded resentment than legitimate, balanced criticism.

Not a surprise as much as a commentary. Truck mods and $ is irrelevant to the Truth of Us. And negative reflections on those is even further removed. I want to be sure to keep my eye on the ball. :bananadance:

Since you're here... is it pronounced "mAso" or "mEso"? I always assumed it was like the Japanese soup... or you know "Me so JDM" (FMJ movie reference).

I've heard so many people pronounce it "mAso" and I can't figure out why.

Stopped watching after "it was between a subaru sti and a Tacoma". I guess both have 4 doors and 4 wheels, so they're basically the same.

All the negative comments surprise me. The money / cost part means nothing . The guy is an enthusiast it looks like to me that just enjoys doing this kind of stuff. I think that’s ok if you can do it. Life is short .

The common consensus is to pay for the offroad and buy the mods to make it a pro or better. You would just be buying an expensive dealer label and still have to mod it out
