Honestly, I bet the Rays are back in the mix. Good young team with a bright future.

NO MODS YET! 20" Enkeis with NT420 performance tires coming soon...inspired by genxer36.
I thought the Ridgeline and Frontier competes well with the Tacoma? I could understand why Colorado and Ranger are old news now.

From Edmunds Not a bad scores for Tacoma:
    2008 Tacoma editors score: 8.0
    2008 Tacoma consumer score: 8.8
    2009 Tacoma consumer score: 9.1

Also good scores for the Frontier:
    2008 Frontier editors score: 8.1
    2008 Frontier consumer score: 9.1

Poor score from the editor (consumers like it though):
    2008 Ridgeline editors score: 7.8
    2008 Ridgeline consumer score: 9.0

    Poor score from the editor:
    2008 Colorado editors score: 6.5
    2008 Colorado consumer score: 8.5

    Poor score from the editor:
    2008 Ranger editors score: 6.3
    2008 Ranger consumer score: 8.5

I don't think the American automakers could compete with the Japenese. Of course people have probs with Ranger and Colorado they make them with paper!

i think the next generation ridgeline is going to change BIG TIME!
because the current model is weird, is not pretty a pick up? or it is? it can't go off rd like the tacoma, and it can't haul stuff either.. more like a ford sport trac.

Ridgeling has potential, it all depends on how Honda wants to play, they are making great cars now... I'm sure they will make a REAL superb pick up!

No. They are :)happy:) with my choice. My parent have a ranch where they haul bails of hay and water for their livestock, so they need a big bed, and they stuck with Chevy. My father makes comments that he will be getting the new Tundra because of its improvement in size. I will have to wait & see....

My 1999 TRD had two break jobs, the back drums had the original shoes. Oh ya 222,000 miles. Ya also the original clutch. It even had the the original blubs, breaks, turn, running, head lights all of them. That truck kicked ass!! That little fucken thing went over or right through any thing. I want to apoiogize for my words. I'm 47 years old I'v had Trans Am's, Jeeps, Chevys, Fords, Cadys, AMC,Pontiac, Hondas, I can go on. I have been lucky man and have built a lot of cars & trucks. The 1999 TRD Off road hands down was the best I have ever owned. Oh ya a Z28 or two. I can tell about a 1978 Malibu with a 4 spd rock crusher & a small block 400 that I had to make a ballanced flywheel for. Any one want pictures I got them. Or how about my 1990 5.0 droptop LX with three blowers the last was a Vortech s trim, twisted wedge heads,gt 40 intake, E303 cam and mor parts than I can remember. Ok I will stop, me B drinking and the little lady is mad. I just hope my 2008 is as awsome as my 1999. Thats big shoes to fill. After 5300 miles it has it's problmes and I took heat for my first post " My Tacoma is a POS" I hope Toyota takes care of me I know I got the one in 25K that has the problems. The truck still kicks ass and I love it it's much dif. from the 1999. Looking back the 1999 was like a little jeep cj. Good night and may the Taco be with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya I'm the guy with the leak they still can't fix, I'm going with National Center for Dispute Settlement. Toyota said my claim meets the programs parameters for eligibilty and gave me a case number. They have a inperson oral hearing or document only. I went with the doc. only, sent in my service repiar records and a letter. an arbitrator will deside if I get a new Truck. Toyota tried threee times to fix it it's not as bad as it first was, but still not fixed. Toyota said they did all they could do.If it goes my way I will pay the exrts cash and go with a DC. If not I can start putting on parts and fix the leak my self.

^Yeah, that sucks, definitely frustrating. Hopefully Toyota will make it right for you.

And you should have. Anyone who comes to an enthusiasts forum with a post like that will get heat. The HUGE majority of Tacoma's have no problems but we're certainly more than happy to assist those with problems in any way we can. It's all about how you present yourself.

I am pretty sure the Ridgeline is not a truck. It is a car based unibody typr of vehicle. A real truck is body on frame construction.

And as far as the Edmunds polls up above, if they are polling owners, of course everyone is gonna say they like something that they just spent $25000.oo dollars on. Not a very accurate assessment of the vehcile. Anywhoooo.....
