I was going to add wiring diagrams to my intake post but there are too many factors there as not everyone who gets their pigtails may end up getting them off of FJs which is why I just posted the actual MAF pinout diagram itself.

We'll iron all that out once all the info is in one place. Then link from the first post.

Let me know once you have your post ironed out. It took me a while to iron out mine, but I think I got all the kinks out finally. The more info everyone has moving forward available to them the easier they can perform the mod and find their stuff all in one central location.

Well I mean it's pretty straight forward stuff. You match up the OE wiring to the pin out of the MAF itself using the handy dandy diagram I posted in my intake post. As long as you do that the color of each individual wire coming out of the new pigtail is irrelevant.

I took that gasket off probably 7 years ago. I saw too many SC Xrunners trying to figure out how their gaskets vanished.;)

Your guess is as good as mine, but I have a Tundra OE CAI lying around in the garage. I think the Tundra CAI uses a 5" tube if I remember right or something like that.

What ID / Fuel line size do we use on our trucks? Grabbing one of the FST fuel filters and need to get fittings too. Unless anyone can post a link to specific ones they have used to tie in to the stock fuel lines.

    Please? Thank you.

@Torspd @loginfailed and anyone else that has one.

Perfect timing. I was going to post up and see if folks recommended an external filter and was thinking of The FST setup they had.

I searched around and came across that plus the dual pump setup. Didn't see a mention or a comprehensive list of parts for diameters.

Welding a bracket is not an issue.
I'm not savvy on these systems yet*
There is also the 1/2" and AN fitting versions.

If anyone is willing to share. Links or a parts list, I'd be appreciative.

I liked this one - Quite the costly addition though. Not in the budget. Injector Dynamics F750 Fuel filter

Ok Just making sure. A links/part list and some input would be great. I was going to post up asking for similar if that is a good choice. About to dig into the Fuel Filter and a good time to tack on the external pump. Rather not have to pull that shit out again if I do not need to.

5/16" fittings, is what the male hardlines are sized. -6AN line and adapter to 5/16" female hardline connector.

    My shit is all stock.
    Sorry Rob.

A better, clearer headed look this morning yielded slightly different numbers. Viewed from inside the tube, the MAF is actually up into a bit of a depression. So, I used a small straight-edge across that opening and re-measured the takeaway. I get 0.43" so... 3.61" - .43" is 3.18" i.d.

    Stock Tacoma airbox opening 2.96"
    4Runner/FJ tube 3.18"

So, .22" bigger. Let's call it a quarter inch.

    IMG_1049.jpg

At least you get the larger opening at the throttle body end. I'm liking that part a lot.

Holy hell this is getting nitty gritty. Hahaha.

Well at least it's bigger as a whole. Maybe it's not 100% precisely 3.25" apparently but it's damn close and it is definitely up to foot to handle the air the 2.3 and 2.5 pulleys make.

Once I get my drop in panel high flow filter I'll take a log for Justin (I get it tomorrow) and that'll really tell the whole story. Even if there ends up being a small minute power hit over aftermarket cone filter styles it's a very small price to pay to be legal in the engine bay and still be modified and yet still outflow OE applications considerably. ;)
