Brand new in box Flex-a-lite 678 kit for 2nd gen Tacoma.
Bought new because I wanted to replace my stock clutch fan with an electric kit but things have changed and I’m going to keep the clutch fan and do a dual push fan setup on the front of the radiator instead.
Only pulled things out of the box to take pictures, everything is there to install including the install instructions.
According to Flex-a-lite, even though it only shows to work for a few years, this kit will actually work for 05-15.

    Asking $270 + split shipping, 48 only.

    Box SZ:
    22in x 18in x 5in WT: 14lbs

Is this so you can put the fan on a switch so when you ford water you don't blow it apart?
I'm ignorant on this kind of thing.

I believe you can. The thermostat connects to a 12 line. You run the fan to the thermostat and the thermostat has a probe you stick into the radiator so the thermostat can read temp and turn on and off. I believe you can adjust the thermostat to your desired temp to kick the fan on, but I think I also read when purchasing it has connection in the thermostat box for a true on/off connection for a switch like you were saying.

I looked on their website and they say that it will fit a '12 Tacoma, but any idea if things changed for the '14 Tacoma that would make this kit not fit?

Honestly not that I know of. I mean the only major changes I know is the addition of the carb air pump but that is up in the passenger fender well and the swap to hydro booster instead of vacuum booster for the brakes. Besides that, dimensions look to be the same. Radiator size is the same. I can’t confirm or deny, but I would think maybe something needs to be modified to fit, but I don’t think it would be anything major. Are you interested?

I confirmed with Flex-a-Lite Tech Services and they said that they just haven't updated their website to include the '12-'15 models. It will fit they said.

I can't commit to it yet. Funds aren't available at the moment, but maybe in a month or so. Hopefully you still have it by then....

Man I would trade up some guns but getting them across the border might be an issue.
