I've ordered the parts needed but I'm still waiting on 1 of them to arrive. I'll be changing my fluid when I do the mod just in case since I've been in deep water numerous times (and I'm not even at 10k miles). Looking at doing a front locker soon too!

I’m sure at some point I’ll do it for something to do. I’ll definitely change the fluids out regardless

Went up near the top of Buckhorn Mtn today with the Missus. The Tacoma walked right up the steep parts without an issue, even on the stock tires. Great view from up there.

Went for a drive on the Sts'ailes (West Harrison) Forest Service Road east of Vancouver. Normally in April we just have rain or sunshine, be we went through a few snow showers.

There are some fantastic views of the lake...

A bridge at the 56 km mark was washed out for a few years, last August it was replaced.

We finally made it to the log sort yard at the top of the lake and played in the mud for a few minutes.

The scenery on the Sea to Sky Highway going home were also impressive.

Since it was a Friday and everyone is staying home, the traffic was very light. We took about 4 hours to travel the FSR from bottom to top (160 km).

I had to drive to work today, with nobody there, and unable to off-road because of CV19 quarantine, I went "off-roading" at work.

Note to self: Use a bigger rock next time.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Nice. Bring your fishing rod next time. I have fished Big Silver creek and Cogburn creek many times up there. Great fishing for winter steelhead, rainbows, cutthroat trout and lots of whitefish. Check the regs first though. On one winter trip we took a friends 1st gen Tacoma and parked it in snowbank as far off the main logging road as we could get. Fished a few hours, hiked a few miles up Big Silver creek. Walking back 3 miles on the logging road, we see in the snow where a trailer behind a big rig has been dragged side to side all across the road as though an axle is broken. As we get closer to my buddys truck, I say hey, it looks like your driver side mirror is missing. At his truck, there is a 4 inch deep jagged tear running the full length of his truck like a chainsaw hacked it in 2. The truck is a write off. Truck runs, tires ok, so we take off following the track in the snow. About 5 miles further north, there is an 18 wheeler towing a large excavator stuck in the middle of the road, rear trailer axle broken in two. So we talk to the guy, and he did not even know he totalled my buddys Tacoma. We get his insurance details, and later his mining company covered the full cost to replace front and back quarter panels and driver door, and full repaint on the Taco. The driver had 10 feet plus of clearance on the road, but his trailer swinging side to side moved so much it took out the Taco. Shows you never know out in the bush whats next.
