I replaced the head gaskets on my 4.0.
Now I have no signal to the fuel pump relay.
Also want to confirm the timing. Any tips ? Thanks in advance.

Check your PCM with a scanner and make sure you have an STA signal being sent out.

Timing mark should be the as follows. Bank 1 is the single mark lined up with the indented mark on the cam cap. Bank 2 is the center of the the double marks on the cam phasers with the pointy tip onto the cam cap bearing. The exhaust cams should have the dot on the sprocket line up with the tip on the cam bearing cap. The crankshaft key should line up with the angled line going directly behind the crankshaft sprocket.

Check grounds. FP relay isn't always energized, the engine has to be running or starting for there to be power.

Thank you for the advice. Is there any way that I can verify timing other than valve cover removal?

Just so you know, the fuel pump relay doesn’t actually turn on the fuel pump. The C/OPN relay is what turns on the fuel pump.

Whip out your shop scanner and oscilloscope, probe crank position sensor output and cylinder 1 ignition coil trigger.
