I’m still having to go to work a few times a week and telework 2 or 3 days, so I’m still logging miles

I'm going on 4 weeks of working from home and feel fortunate that I'm able to do that. My wife is a teacher and she's been working from home for about two weeks (they closed schools for us the week before we went on spring break). I do miss driving my truck and try to take out on the weekends for a drive so it just doesn't sit in the driveway.

Really hoping things get better soon, so people who have lost their jobs can get back to work and things start get back to normal for everyone.

@RatAssassin that was pretty cool what you did for your employees.

I have a saying with my company.....
"If we're not having fun, we have to look at where we're going wrong."

The experience of working and serving great people, combined with awesome people to work with makes life worth it. therefore, my employees are like family to me. We're all working for the betterment of each other and the people we serve.
Might sound a little "hokey", but it's worked for me.

Man, If I can work right now I totally would. Been off since 3/1 UNPAID and unemployment haven't kicked in yet. I definitely don't want this free vacation. :(:(:(

I love driving it, but I like riding my bike a tad more (when it doesn't rain).

Took my truck out for a 30 mile drive, bipolar MN weather went from sun, to snow, to sleet, to hail, to mini snow balls, to heavy winds and it was random what you got, 1 mile of snow followed by sunshine.

It's eerie out, my small town has all but shut down. Thank God I have a few dirt roads and power lines to drive on, with 7 weeks of drought it's dry and sandy, 4x4 a must. Other than a supply run weekly, I'm bored out of my mind. I should be spending time with my granddaughters 1,000 miles away, but I sit and wait.

Curfew is from 10 PM - 5 AM. In our state and local area there's a long list of authorized "essentials", so "sheltering in place" is something I remember from my days in the western Pacific during Super Typhoons when 100+ mph winds were blowing things around....along with inoculations for the plague, typhus, typhoid, malaria pills....and then later, discovering my health problems were as a result of exposure to Agent Orange. I get a pneumonia shot every year. Flu shots are a joke - push everyone to get a flu shot, and then come out and say that "this year it's a different strain....." 12,000+ people die every year from the flu ......seen anything in the news? This coronavirus is COVID-19 ...another in a long line of coronaviruses........... Wash your hands, and use common sense....

Speaking of driving and cost of gas. I really miss doing day trips and stuff, as a family we would always do that. In February we were in Anaheim California just weeks before SHTF (we live in Alberta Canada). Gas, even here it's cheap by Canadian prices. Here it's .58 a Litre, but that don't matter because I use only ethanol free gasoline and where I live Shell V-Power claims that, some say Coop and Canadian Tire gas stations. I stay away from all others which i actually don't like since our own gasoline produced from Alberta oil has ethanol and saudi sourced does not. That does bother me but I refuse to buy junk gasoline unless I'm in a bind and that happened some years ago going up north and we came across this small town that had one gas station...no name, they had gasoline and diesel...that's it!...that's was with our other vehicle, the Honda Pilot.

Gentleman, we are all in the same boat. I got mine March 6 then went into house arrest and I lost three jobs in that same week. No regrets on the purchase, I have been saving for this for a while as part of my retirement run/adjustment over the next few years. I too applied for the SBA PPP and my bank is working hard on trying to figure the ever changing regulations so they can get the funding and distribute it here in our area. RatAssasin, you may be correct that some of us will never see it. I will make it all be it a lot tougher without the assistance. We have two Gov bids on hold to the end of the month that may or may not get awarded which would really hurt us if the later occurs, there is never a guarantee but you have to play the odds in business. Currently I am part of a group that is conducting weekly webinars and online assistance for our peers in the industry we work in. We are helping with how best to prepare for the hang-over this will have and yet start getting business back up and running again afterwards.

Be safe - I am using my AG as a therapy tool when things get tough I go out and work on a mod for a few hours.
