RCI Slider Install on 2017

Damnit! ok then, on todays to-do list... find new friend with long skinny arm.

 

Looks like the pics here are all the 5* option. Anyone have the standard 20* for comparison?

Do both 5 and 20* protect the sides equally in parking lots?

Can you still manage to use the 20* as a step?

 

These are the 5 degree option yeah?

 

Does the top tread and 5 degrees provide a useful step to get in and out? Seems like it's still tucked in pretty tight.

 

Yes, I find that it's useful.

 

The forwardmost bolts are tough. You can't reach it...easily. So I tape the nut to the wrench with washer and use that as an extender. Works great.

 

Also the square brackets that have to be inserted for the forward two holes and little support bracket - coat it with LANDSCAPER'S GLUE around the edge, screw a bolt in a few threads, insert into the hole and seat it. Revove the bolt and continue. Even if you don't wait at all, the glue is thick enough to hold it in place while you get a few threads in.
